        grain and dislocated the left arm at the elbow joint. The little fellow will be laid up for some
        time."

        " Pte. Clifford Leader - No. 135,179 Private Clifford J. Leader, son of the late Joshua Leader, of
        Shelburne, was killed in ac?on in France on Aug. 28th. Pte. Leader enlisted in the summer of 1915
        and went overseas with the 74th Ba?alion. He went to France in June, 1916, was wounded at
        Vimy Ridge in April, 1917, and had only returned to the front two or three months before being
        killed. He was with a machine gun sec?on. The town flag was put at half mast on receipt of the
        news of Pte. Leader's death."

        " He enlisted in the 74th Battalion in July 1915 when only 16 years of age. He was nearly six feet in height, strongly built and because of his size and manly appearance easily passed as military age."
